Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Group Financial Controller to lead our finance operations in a rapidly growing technology organisation. This dynamic and fast-paced role offers a 12-month temporary contract with a highly competitive salary and excellent hybrid working options.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have group-level reporting expertise, strong leadership and management capabilities, and the ability to navigate complex financial processes in a high-growth, multi-entity environment. As Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing finance operations, compliance, financial reporting, analysis, strategy, and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee group structure reporting, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements.
* Manage the month-end and quarter-end closing processes, maintaining high standards of financial reporting.
* Lead group consolidations across three entities, including intercompany reconciliations.
* Conduct detailed variance analysis on revenue, gross margin, and operational costs, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
* Oversee financial integration's following acquisitions to ensure smooth transitions.
* Work closely with key business stakeholders to enhance financial reporting and decision-making.
* Provide strategic financial insights to support the company's long-term growth and direction.
* Prepare and present financial reports to the Board of Directors.
* Act as the primary contact for external stakeholders.
* Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team of five professionals.
Requirements
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with a minimum of four year's experience in a senior financial control role at group level.
* Proven experience in group-level consolidations and financial reporting.
* Strong expertise in group close processes, intercompany transactions, and audit management.
* Excellent leadership and management skills, with experience guiding high-achieving teams.
* Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
