**Job Title:** Senior Food Safety and Quality Manager

Overview:
The successful individual will oversee manufacturing from a technical perspective, encompassing management & coordination of approvals, regulatory requirements, and quality systems. Reporting to the MD, the successful individual will have the following qualifications:
* Diploma or higher in Food Science/Technology;
* 5+ years of progressive experience in a food manufacturing environment.
* Minimum of 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
In-depth knowledge of food manufacturing processes, quality control procedures, food safety regulations, and industry best practices is essential. Additionally, comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, HACCP, GMP), quality management systems (e.g., ISO), and relevant certifications (e.g., SQF, BRC) is required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills, are necessary for success in this role. The ideal candidate will also possess strong organisational and project management abilities, accurate attention to detail, and proven ability to lead and motivate teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the development & roll-out of the strategic vision of the business;
* Drive and implement plant-wide process and quality system improvements;
* Customer presentations and management of technical and quality projects with the customer base;
* Perform as a strategic partner at a management level to head the Food Safety & Quality function and influence change and new processes;
* Lead the HACCP team for the purpose of ensuring a fully integrated food safety business model drives the operation;
* Establish networking with supporting food safety bodies such as FSAI, Campden, BRI, and other relevant governing bodies;
* Lead and direct different cross-functional programs and projects;
* Be the key challenging food safety player during the introduction of new products and new engineering processes/equipment;
* Oversee the risk assessment programme for raw materials, suppliers, process activities, and new process introduction within the production facility.
Requirements:
* Degree in Food Science/Technology;
* Progressive experience in a food manufacturing environment;
* Managerial or supervisory experience;
* Knowledge of food manufacturing processes, quality control procedures, food safety regulations, and industry best practices;
* Comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations, quality management systems, and relevant certifications;
