Scope of the Role
The role is to serve as a project manager and be fully accountable for bid proposals submitted to clients, acting as the single point of contact for clients and presenting proposals to internal stakeholders and the client.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning
* Review project documentation and set up a project execution plan for proposals.
* Manage estimating, preconstruction, and business unit resources dedicated to bid projects.
Presentation and Communication
* Prepare and hold presentations for internal project reviews.
* Prepare and hold presentations for client meetings.
Design and Delivery
* Engage with designers for proposals on detailed design development.
* Engage with the delivery business unit to identify teams for projects.
Tender Management
* Review tender deliverables and develop responses to all tender deliverables.
* Review and ensure that project information is shared with the team in accordance with internal procedures.
Project Risk Management
* Drive critical reviews of projects and table alternative proposals for better delivery.
* Review construction methodology to identify programme implications and necessary temporary works.
Scheduling and Logistics
* Develop project schedules of works in cooperation with project teams.
* Plan out project logistics and develop draft logistics plans.
Supply Chain and Procurement
* Engage with supply chains to identify possible partners for specific projects.
* Review project responsibility matrices to clarify scope for bidding subcontractors.
Crane and Lifting Operations
* Review requirements for lifting and cranes and develop crane strategies for projects.
Risk Management
* Identify project risks and mitigation plans to deal with these risks.
Essential Criteria
* Bachelor's degree in an Engineering subject (Mechanical, Electrical, Construction, or similar).
* 5-10 years of experience, including 5 as a Project Manager.
* Experience in Preconstruction Project Management.
