Site Engineer / Technician (Public Service)

Summary
The governmental organisation requires Site Engineers and Site Technicians for drainage and flood risk management projects in the South West Region of Ireland. The Site Engineer/s will work from their designated site office, with options to work from offices in Mungret, Co. Limerick, or Tralee, Co. Kerry.
Responsibilities
* Organise, direct, and supervise project construction and maintenance, including direction and supervision of direct labour force.
* Produce method statements and risk assessments, checking works are carried out according to documentation.
* Set out, including levelling/Total-station/GPS work, in accordance with drawings and specifications.
* Assist in Section 50 and Minor Works applications assessment.
* Monitor works and ensure they meet design drawings and specification.
* Manage Quality Assurance file, including concrete QA, earthworks QA, Survey QA.
* Investigate and report on matters arising from project construction and maintenance.
* Liaise with public bodies, local authorities, organisations, and individuals.
* Implement QA procedures and resolve technical issues.
* Manage sub-contractors and disseminate information from drawings and specifications.
* Interpret design plans, specifications, and technical drawings.
* Provide assistance with procurement and liaison with local authority and stakeholders.
* Prepare accurate site reports and records, including daily diaries and progress reports.
Requirements
* Level 7 degree in Civil Engineering.
* 3 years' experience with a main contractor on civil engineering projects.
* Safe Pass Card, valid driving licence, use of own transport.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and IT skills.
* Right to work in the EU.
Contract Details
* Initial contract: 12-month period commencing on Monday, 25th September.
* Possible extension beyond initial contract period.
