Job Opportunity: Speech and Language Therapist
Location: Dublin, Ireland
Contract: 6-Month Specified Purpose Contract
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Salary: Aligned with HSE Consolidated pay-scale (Effective from 1st October 2024)
Are you a qualified Speech and Language Therapist looking to make a difference? A well-established rehabilitation hospital in North Dublin is seeking a dedicated professional to join their multidisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities
As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will:
1. Conduct assessments, diagnosis, and develop treatment/intervention programs for service users according to professional standards.
2. Communicate assessment results and recommendations to service users and relevant stakeholders.
3. Collaborate with patients, families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment plans.
4. Maintain detailed clinical notes and documentation in line with departmental standards.
5. Provide support and guidance on communication, feeding, eating, drinking, and swallowing disorders.
6. Participate in case conferences, ward rounds, and team meetings as required.
7. Ensure professional standards, confidentiality, and ethics are maintained in all interactions.
8. Engage in health promotion activities and comply with the CORU code of conduct.
9. Contribute to the development of policies and procedures while adhering to current standards.
Minimum Requirements
You will need:
1. BSc in Clinical Speech and Language Studies from the University of Dublin, or
2. BA (Moderatorship) in Remedial Linguistics from the University of Dublin, or
3. MSc in Speech and Language Therapy from the University of Limerick, or
4. Licentiateship from the College of Speech Therapists, or
5. Equivalent validated Speech and Language qualification.
6. CORU Registration is mandatory.
