Job Summary
This Financial Assistant position is a valuable member of the finance team with a Can Do Attitude providing support to the company, the Assistant Financial Controller, and the Finance Director. The role requires keeping detailed and accurate records of all AP and AR activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Monthly Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly prepayments, prepare AR Aging with Comments, and banking tasks.
* Banking: Record daily bank transactions, perform weekly bank reconciliations, and record daily Cash forecasts.
* Accounts Payable: Manage Purchase Orders and Requisitions, ensure timely approvals, process payment runs, and deal with supplier queries.
* Accounts Receivable: Prepare monthly invoices for review and approval, handle customer billing queries, and perform customer due diligence.
Requirements
* Minimum 1-2 years experience in a similar role.
* Existing or working towards a recognized accounting qualification (Accounting Technician and/or Bookkeeping).
* Good understanding and proficiency in Finance terminology, numerical skills, and excellent verbal and written English.
* Excellent knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other computer skills.
* Experience with SAGE or other equivalent accounting packages.
