Retail Financial Solutions (RFS) is a leading retail accountancy and consulting firm in Ireland.
We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our business in Macroom, Co. Cork (conveniently located between Cork city and Killarney).
This role provides an excellent opportunity for a long-term career in retail accounting, as we offer mentoring to aid in your learning and development, with exposure to a broad range of accounting and bookkeeping practices. You will also gain valuable people and computer skills.

Currently, we employ approximately 40 staff, which increases each year as we grow. Our clients include SuperValu, Centra, MACE, Londis, Costcutter and Spar stores nationally.
The Person:
* This role would suit an Accounting or Business Studies graduate (or someone who is about to graduate) with good interpersonal and Microsoft Excel skills.
* Having previous experience within a similar role in a retail environment (such as with a supermarket in Ireland or with another retail accountancy firm) would be an advantage but all relevant applications will be considered.
The Role:
* Post sales and purchase invoices to ledgers.
* Allocation of bank payments and receipts.
* Complete central billing docket matching.
* Bank, VAT, Creditors and Debtors reconciliations.
* Assisting with month end reporting.
* Assist with the weekly KPI reports for clients.
* Complete weekly store control.
* Answer queries promptly and closing out on any issues that may arise.
