Our client, a well-established Cost and Project Management Consultancy, is based in Limerick and provides expert cost management and project delivery services across various sectors, including commercial, residential, healthcare, and industrial. They are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to support the successful delivery of high-quality projects.
Responsibilities:
• Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies for a range of construction projects.
* Managing procurement processes, including preparing tender documents and evaluating contractor bids.
* Monitoring and controlling project costs, ensuring alignment with budgets, and producing financial reports.
* Handling valuations, variations, and final accounts for multiple projects.
* Conducting risk assessments and providing cost-saving recommendations where appropriate.
* Assisting in contract administration and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
* Engaging with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
* Preparing and maintaining accurate project documentation and cost records.
Requirements:
• A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field.
* 3-5 years of experience in a quantity surveying role, ideally within a consultancy environment.
* Strong knowledge of cost management, procurement, and contract administration.
* Experience with public and private sector projects is advantageous.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cost management software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft).
* Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work to deadlines.
Package:
The company offers an annual salary of €50,000 - €60,000 DOE, along with an annual performance-based bonus, pension contribution scheme, opportunities for professional development, chartership assistance, and career progression, as well as exposure to a variety of high-profile projects.
