Technical Application Support
This is a 12-month contract opportunity working in Dublin city centre or remotely, with two days on-site per week.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Application Support professional to join our client's team in Dublin city centre.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical application support and troubleshooting for various systems and applications.
* Diagnose and resolve complex application issues using skills such as Structured Query Language (SQL), Java programming, and knowledge of App Servers like JBoss.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in application software coding and scripting.
* Maintain a strong understanding of standard IT hardware and equipment, as well as IT management software.
Requirements
* Previous experience as an application support specialist, preferably in the financial services industry.
* Up-to-date knowledge of application software coding and scripting.
* Familiarity with cloud computing environments and tools is highly advantageous.
Preferred Skills
* Strong understanding of SQL and ability to write efficient queries.
* Experience with Java programming and its related technologies.
* Knowledge of App Servers like JBoss and ability to configure and troubleshoot them.
