Job Summary: Our client, a leading Property Management firm, is seeking a Data Privacy Specialist to lead privacy and data responsibility programs across the firm. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with Privacy, Data and AI laws.
The role will involve operating as a DPO, managing privacy control frameworks, conducting risk assessments and audits, responding to data protection queries and issues, and working with stakeholders to identify business requirements resulting from new and evolving privacy laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate as DPO for the firm and fulfill all related obligations as mandated under the EU GDPR and other relevant frameworks.
* Manage privacy control frameworks, conduct regular risk assessments and audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
* Respond to data protection queries and issues, both internally and externally.
* Work with key stakeholders to identify business requirements resulting from new and evolving privacy laws and regulations.
* Manage, monitor and negotiate privacy-related commercial terms (e.g. Data Protection Agreements) with suppliers and clients.
Requirements:
* At least 3 years of experience in a data privacy/data protection officer role.
* Must hold a Professional Certification in data protection (e.g. CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, ISO27001).
* Extensive knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to Irish and EU Privacy, Data and AI laws.
* At least a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e. Legal, Business etc.).
* Strong understanding of AI ethics and data responsibility.
