MetroLink Programme MetroLink is a transformative piece of public transport infrastructure and will be Dublins first metro railway.
The system will offer a high-capacity, high-frequency metro railway with 16 new stations from Swords to Charlemont.
It will interlink with multiple transport networks, including Dublin Airport, Irish Rail, DART, Dublin Bus, and Luas, promoting a seamlessly integrated transport experience for the Greater Dublin Area.
The majority of its 19km route is underground, marking a paradigm shift for Irish public transport.
Upon launch, MetroLink will provide trains every three minutes during peak times, with expected annual ridership of 53 million passengers, providing unprecedented convenience of travel to passengers.

Job Description The Geospatial and Asset Lead is responsible for overseeing asset information and geospatial projects, managing data and analytics, and continuously enhancing Metrolinks geospatial and asset information capabilities in alignment with the strategic vision.
Acting as a liaison within the broader business and external stakeholders, the role holder will provide ongoing support and training to staff to ensure they can access the necessary data, information and reporting to support their teams' functions and in achieving project efficiencies through the implementation of digital across the project.
Principal Accountabilities Lead the team responsible for the establishment and ongoing development of geospatial standards and best practice in the utilisation of GIS tools and technologies for the MetroLink project.
Ensure MetroLinks approach to the management of its assets and associated asset information delivers best in class outcomes for MetroLink.
Provide expert guidance and opinions on existing practices and future trends in the area of Geospatial and Asset Information.
Create and customise Data / Information Models.
Co-ordinate and align all data structures across MetroLink to facilitate integration of project content.
Lead the development of the Asset Data Definition (ADDs) to serve MetroLink throughout the project lifecycle.
Lead the design, implementation and management of MetroLinks GIS Platform and ensure a coordinated approach to the management of spatial datasets.
Lead the design and implementation of graphical model management and processes for BIM / iTwin using MetroLinks Project CDE.
Coordinate and collaborate with Digital Team Leads to deliver MetroLink Digital Framework.
Oversee the planning and implementation of the Geospatial and Asset Information applications and tools, ensuring good practice is maintained.
Coordinate the development of project standards and workflows in the area of Geospatial and Asset Information.
Develop verification and validation procedures for content provided in response to information requirements in the area of Geospatial and Asset Information.
Investigate and promote opportunities for MetroLinks participation in the Smart Cities initiative to help enhance Dublins standing as a SmartCity.
Engage with project stakeholders to build relationships with focus on the sharing and reuse of digital information acquired for the project.
Interface with supply chain and consultants to ensure adherence to and compliance with the MetroLink document control procedure.
Communicate regularly with government departments, supply chain and other third parties as well as internally across all departments within TII.
Undertaking tasks, activities or other duties that may be required or assigned appropriately to the grade.
All the divisions within TII have inter-dependent responsibilities and close cooperation, collaboration and teamwork are required across the whole organisation to meet tight deadlines.

The person appointed will be required to demonstrate the flexibility necessary to fulfil other roles and responsibilities at a similar grade within TII.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS Character Each candidate must be of good character.
Health A candidate for and any person holding the role must be fully competent and capable of undertaking duties attached to the role and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications The successful candidate will be required to demonstratethekey competencies for a Principal Officer position as outlined in Appendix 1, as well as the followingjob-specific requirements: Experience A minimum of 10 years' experience in information management for design, construction and engineering projects, with a minimum of 5 years specialism in a senior position in the utilisation of BIM and GIS onon light rail / metro rail projects or similar projects.
A proven track record in project delivery within the transport or infrastructure sectors such as light rail/ metro or similar projects.
Experience in successfully delivering highly complex projects while effectively managing and optimising budgets.
Skills Thorough knowledge of information management principles, particularly ISO 19650, and associated standards combined with a strong understanding of lifecycle management related to infrastructure assets.
Extensive knowledge of BIM enabled technology/software, specifically Bentley tools such as ProjectWise and AssetWise.
Familiarity with digital solutions for information management such as CDE, GIS and associated technologies.
Familiarity with best practice as it relates to Asset Management and utilisation of industry standards such as ISO 55000.
Understanding of classification systems, specifically UniClass and its implementation in a transport environment.
Strong strategic planning capabilities combined with strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
Experience in using asset management software and tools is a plus.
Ability to effectively engage with and manage relationships with various stakeholders, including customers, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate clear and consistent dialogue between all parties involved.
Proficiency in gathering, documenting, and analysing project requirements to ensure they align with customer and operational needs.
Expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with the project.
Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and ensure cohesive project delivery.
Ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions to keep the project on track.
Experience in quality assurance processes to ensure that project deliverables meet the required standards.
Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and environments.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and relate to individuals and groups both technical and non-technical.
Ability to govern and drive outcomes to ensure high quality service.
Formal Education Qualifications Degree or 3rd level professional qualification (NFQ Level 8 or equivalent) in Engineering, Building Information Modelling (BIM), Geographical Information Systems (GIS), asset management, or a related discipline is required.
