Tyres Parts Tools Employee Assistance Programme Discounted Gym Membership Bike to Work Key Responsibilities Managing Workshop Staff While the role is a managers role, it will require a hands on approach to the management of technical issues Meeting business targets & KPIs agreed with your manager.
Promoting and enhancing the companys reputation by ensuring that all contact with customers is maintained at the highest professional level.
Monitor and assist workshops with regard to job cards and general administration in order to optimise revenue.
Deal with any technical problems as they arise and where necessary escalate to the customer representative so that they may be addressed immediately.
Efficient flow of production through the Workshop.
Ensure parts, consumables and equipment are available and serviced.
Communicate daily/weekly schedules, deadlines and priorities to staff.
Ensure adherence and compliance to all technical, quality, health and safety and environmental processes, policies and procedures to 5S and ISO standards.
Monitor and report on workshop performance.
Ensure best practice is utilised and continually improved in terms of health and safety, environment, quality, and efficiency.
Closely monitor the accuracy of Standard Times and make changes when necessary Respond to customer queries promptly, and work closely with the customer representatives when required Ensure compliance with safe working/operating practices, policies and procedures and all legislation governing the safe operation of the facility.
Work as part of a team and assist colleagues willingly as necessary Contribute to harmonious working relations at all times Develop team skills in all areas of the workshop activity.
Ensure all reports are transmitted timely and accurately.
Requirements 10+ years supervisory experience in an automotive or related environment An interest in the motor industry Workshop experience, as a qualified mechanic with certs or time-served Lead by example and willing to support your team in a hands on manner A focus on safety, quality and customer satisfaction Able to motivate and manage a team Able to work with deadlines A practical approach to solving technical problems Self motivated, enthusiastic and driven Ability to work effectively under pressure Great attention to detail and appreciate quality Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills (an honest communicator) Proficient in MS Office software Ability to plan and prioritise effectively Full clean driving licence Availability for shift work Equal Opportunities Statement National Vehicle Distribution is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
