We are seeking a skilled Supply Chain Officer to join our growing team in Galway, Ireland.
Position Overview
The Supply Chain Officer will play a critical role in managing and optimizing Alvion Pharmaceuticals' supply chain operations. This position will ensure the seamless flow of materials, products, and information across the supply chain, enabling efficient delivery of high-quality pharmaceuticals to our customers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supply Chain Management:
Oversee the end-to-end supply chain process, from procurement to distribution.
Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock and avoid shortages or overstocking.
Implement effective demand forecasting and planning strategies.
2. Procurement:
Source and negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery of raw materials and products.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
3. Logistics Coordination:
Manage transportation, warehousing, and distribution to ensure timely delivery.
Optimize shipping routes and methods to reduce costs and environmental impact.
4. Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all supply chain activities comply with pharmaceutical regulations, including GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and GDP (Good Distribution Practice).
Collaborate with the regulatory affairs department to meet international and local compliance standards.
5. Data Analysis & Reporting:
Analyze supply chain data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Prepare reports on supply chain performance metrics and present them to senior management.
Work closely with internal teams, including production, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs, to align supply chain activities with business objectives.
Act as the point of contact for supply chain-related inquiries and challenges.
Qualifications
1. Education:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
2. Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
Familiarity with international markets and regulatory requirements is an advantage.
3. Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
4. Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of supply chain processes, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
Familiarity with pharmaceutical industry standards and regulations.
