Job Title: Systems Administrator (MES)
About the Role:
This business-facing position is responsible for configuring, implementing, maintaining and providing ongoing support for our Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) areas.
A typical day may involve coordinating across departments and team members to gather and implement enhancement requests, identifying and resolving system issues, communicating with management, business process owners and users, and performing daily administrative tasks related to functional support and general user account administration.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinating with business departments and team members to gather and implement enhancement requests
* Identifying and resolving system issues, and communicating with management, business process owners and users
* Documenting IT applications, including converting User Requirement Specifications to Detail Design Specifications, writing Configuration Test Plans and summary reports
* Configuring reports, such as tabular, trend and label reports
* Performing daily administrative tasks related to functional support and general user account administration
* Providing SME support and working closely with functional departments on projects to develop, implement and enhance the system
* Providing application assistance prior to, during and post Regulatory/Partner inspections
* Processing IT Applications change control requests
* Collaborating with Validation and Quality departments to ensure IT Applications are implemented following a development life cycle approach
* Training other IT Applications employees
* Coordinating with other IT Applications team members to implement the system efficiently
* Providing end-user support for IT Applications, including troubleshooting problems at the application server level
* Participating in or leading IT Applications systems security access and periodic audit trail reviews
* Contributing to classification and risk assessments of data types
* Extracting, analyzing and interpreting data from Oracle databases
* Using Oracle tools to perform data analysis tasks, such as SQL Developer and Oracle Data Miner, and creating automated data reports using Oracle database systems
* Using Oracle and application performance monitoring tools to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Oracle database performance and capacity
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field
* 2 years of relevant experience working in a similar role
* Experience in project management and professional qualifications preferred
