Quality Manager Job Description
A leading food producer in County Kerry seeks an experienced Quality Manager to oversee the food safety and quality management systems.
Main Responsibilities:
* Oversee and manage food safety and quality management systems, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
* Lead the food safety team and drive improvements through a structured internal audit program.
* Manage laboratory functions to ensure precise and timely analysis.
* Collaborate with suppliers to maintain high milk quality standards.
* Ensure compliance with certifications such as FSSC 22000 and ISO 14001.
* Serve as primary point of contact for Regulatory Authorities and lead third-party and customer audits.
* Champion a positive food safety culture throughout the company.
* Investigate and resolve consumer complaints in a timely manner.
* Ensure adherence to health and safety legislation and practices.
* Coordinate and manage the site's environmental management system.
* Act as main liaison with customers on technical and quality matters.
Candidate Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field.
* 3-5 years' experience in a senior technical or quality management role within the food production industry.
* Demonstrated experience implementing and managing a Food Safety Management System (FSMS).
* Strong understanding of food safety standards and regulatory compliance experience.
