Job Title: Electrical Facilities Technician
Reporting To: Facilities Engineer
Job Purpose:
To maintain client facilities and to assist in the management of maintenance sub-contractors.
Key Accountabilities:
Consider the accountabilities of the job in terms of outputs to the external/internal customer.
To support Facilities Engineer and Facilities Team:
* Effective daily maintenance of all electrical equipment on-site.
* Reporting of existing or potential problems with equipment to Facilities Engineer.
* Working with Mechanical/Multi Skilled Technicians to effectively manage/maintain multi-disciplinary equipment.
* Effective maintenance of non-electrical equipment (where possible).
* Reporting of existing or potential problems with non-electrical equipment to Facilities Engineer.
* Ensure all facilities-related maintenance documentation is completed properly, filed, and accessible as required.
* Provide information about facilities as required/authorised.
* Respond to service calls logged with the facilities help desk. Investigate the nature of the problems and seek a speedy resolution.
* Professional greeting to clients and staff to generate a professional and welcoming atmosphere.
* Dress code in line with Acacia standards.
* Ensure all subcontractors on-site are working within the agreed permit-to-work system.
* Ensure all sub-contractors understand reported problems and fully conduct service visit or callout works.
* Ensure subcontractors apply all safety precautions.
* Reporting subcontractors present to Facilities Engineer and report outcome of service visits/callouts.
* Effective management of daily helpdesk requests from receipt of request to completion and sign-off of task.
* Ensure work requests are carried out on time and to a satisfactory level.
* Working effectively with other Operations functions in order to fully complete client requests.
* Use of email system to receive, understand, and sign-off work orders.
* Use of spreadsheets/log books etc. to record information as agreed with the Facilities Engineer.
* Use mobile phone as required to receive instructions/report works as required.
* To conduct daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, six-monthly, and annual inspections of equipment and to record in local maintenance folders.
* To report faults, errors, miss-readings etc. found for further testing.
* To be courteous, well-groomed, efficient, and timely when dealing with staff and management of clients. To carry out other tasks as assigned by the Facilities Engineer.
* Adopt culture and awareness of Salesforce site sustainability and energy efficiency targets/goals.
* Perform site tasks to ensure plant is run in its most efficient manner.
* Oversee subcontractors ensuring best practice is performed.
* Provide energy reduction recommendations on plant operations relevant to role.
* Flexibility and availability to work overtime.
* Goal Zero - Embed EHS as a way of doing business. Enforce a zero tolerance to unsafe working practices to target a goal zero accident rate.
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Experience of working in a professional team-based office environment.
* Experience of communicating with Clients/Customers and providing excellent customer service.
* Trade qualification.
* Strong knowledge of Electrical systems.
Ideal Skills & Experience:
* 5+ years as a qualified electrician.
* Experienced working in a similar working environment.
* Emergency lighting, Electric periodic inspections, PAT Testing, Thermographic Surveys, Lighting Management Systems.

* Strong attention to detail.
