BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
My client, a rapidly growing company supplying industry-leading software solutions to the UK social care sector, is looking to hire a Business Development Manager. As part of their dynamic sales team, the successful person will play a critical role in driving new business and expanding their market reach.
Responsibilities:
1. Identify and develop new business opportunities through inbound and self-sourced leads, leveraging your professional network.
2. Use a consultative sales approach to understand customer challenges and position our software as the ideal solution.
3. Conduct thorough prospect research to understand business needs, pain points, and potential fit with our solutions.
4. Build strong relationships with prospects through effective communication, active listening, and tailored sales strategies.
5. Conduct compelling product demonstrations, showcasing key benefits and ROI to decision-makers at all levels.
6. Navigate complex sales cycles, selling through internal champions and engaging multiple stakeholders, including C-level executives.
7. Accurately manage and maintain a robust sales pipeline using our CRM system (HubSpot or similar).
8. Work closely with internal teams, including customer success and product teams, to ensure a seamless customer journey.
9. Represent the company at national/international trade events and customer meetings when required.
10. Consistently achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
11. Continuously refine sales strategies based on market trends, customer feedback, and new product offerings.
12. Promote our company and solutions within your professional network to drive business opportunities.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience in B2B software sales, ideally within social care, healthcare, or related sectors.
2. Track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
3. Strong consultative sales skills, with the ability to uncover customer needs and present tailored solutions.
4. Ability to sell to multiple stakeholders, from frontline managers to C-level executives.
5. Experience with CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred) and strong data management skills.
6. Competitive, goal-driven mindset with a passion for helping customers succeed.
7. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
8. Industry knowledge or an understanding of the social care sector is an advantage but not required.
9. Flexibility to travel occasionally for customer meetings and industry events.
