At Elk Recruitment, we are looking for a driven Site Engineer to join our client's growing team based in Cork.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Site Engineer to make a real impact in an innovative and growing organization.
Your new role includes: Health and Safety ensuring all of the requirements are adhered to and that safety protocols on site are of the highest possible standardBe fully familiar with all drawings, specifications and the programme of work, ensuring all calculations are accurateCertify the transferral of design information from relevant drawings to the siteEnsure that professional setting out for trades and subcontractors is carried outCarry out as-built surveys with processingCarry out valuation surveys and processing-commence surveys and process figures according to QS requests and site conditionsControl and care of all surveying equipment and instruments, keeping the calibration register up to dateDisseminate information from drawings, specifications, etc.
to foremen, operatives, subcontractors, ensuring they clearly understand what is requiredEnsure work performed and materials used are in full compliance with drawings and specificationsEnsure the post pours/works are carried out to the highest level as required for the projectComplete and manage all appropriate quality documentation (check sheets, as built drawings etc) to the highest standard ensuring archiving is completed correctlySchedule steel reinforcement and other materials requisitions as requiredAssist in the requisitioning of plant and the control of equipment on siteEnsure daily records are kept and uploaded to relevant project management softwareAdvise on submittals and research alternative options where possible Experience you need: Degree/Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering/Construction Management or similarValid Safe Pass2 years' experience in a similar role is desirableStrong setting out experienceExcellent attention to detail and accuracy in all workStrong understanding the key elements of engineering work; site-setting out, day-to-day surveys, as-built drawings etc.Proficient in the use of TopconProficient in the use of Auto-cadGood knowledge of latest building regulation and certification standardsExcellent knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, OutlookStrong communication skills (both written and oral)Ability to work under pressure, prioritising and managing multiple tasks simultaneously, managing time effectively to meet challenging work goalsAbility to take initiative and work both individually and as a strong team player Company Benefits Full time/permanent employmentCompany pensionEmployee Assistance ProgrammeProfessional development & training opportunitiesGreat working conditions with a progressive company What's next Apply Nowto submit your application for Site Engineer role.
