Job Description
Position Overview
A Team Lead opportunity has arisen within the Finance Operations, Accounting, and Reporting teams in Enterprise Services, ESB. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a large finance team, delivering best-practice finance processes, digitalisation, and business requirements, while continuing staff development.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the delivery of business unit management accounts, reconciliations, statutory, and regulatory financial statements.
* Assist and advise the business unit on accounting implications of commercial transactions.
* Manage the statutory audit process for business unit entities, engagement with external auditors, and delivery of outputs to key internal and external stakeholders as required.
* Manage the relationship with key business unit stakeholders.
* Manage the performance of the Accounting & Reporting team to ensure delivery of outputs to business units.
* Manage the performance and development of team members.
* Delivery of continuous improvement initiatives and various projects within the Accounts & Reporting function.
Requirements
* High-level accounting competency and strong analytical skills.
* Highly motivated – able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong understanding of financial systems and processes.
* A recognised professional accounting qualification is essential.
* Minimum of five years' post-qualification experience in a related role.
