Senior Administrator (Safeguarding)
An active member of the General Assembly's staff team, contributing to the effective administration of its functions. Providing administrative support to the Council Secretary, executive staff and Conveners for the delivery of the agreed work programme for CSW in a manner in keeping with the Christian ethos of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Process Access NI applications and NVB Checks for the Presbyterian Church in Ireland, its associated bodies and organisations in line with CSW policies.
* Maintain the record management system for criminal record checks for the denomination.
* Liaise with CSW Umbrella Groups in processing their Access NI applications and provide related advice.
* Keep up to date with changes to policies around Access NI and NVB and ensure these are communicated with line management.
* Manage outcomes from criminal record checks in line with the PCI policy.
Training and Administrative Tasks
* Manage training requests across the domination.
* Liaise with volunteer trainers and congregational representatives to organise training sessions.
* Maintain central training database.
* Produce annual statistical information.
* Carry out administrative changes in programme resources, e.g. presentations, pocket guides and forms.
* Be responsible for the administration of safe churches and maintenance of records management system for the same.
* Carry out all clerical duties, management of telephone calls and email communications.
Key Skills and Qualifications
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Access.
* Good communication skills oral and written.
* Ability to type, complete online forms and handle data entry accurately.
* Able to commit to working within the Christian ethos of the Council for Social Witness and Presbyterian Church in Ireland.
