Key Responsibilities Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor a three-person finance team, fostering a positive and high-performing culture
Financial Reporting:
Prepare detailed monthly management accounts and analysis reports to guide senior management decision-making
Project Cost Management:
Oversee project cost tracking and reporting using to ensure accuracy and control
Payroll Administration:
Process monthly payroll for 90100 employees, ensuring compliance with Irish tax regulations
Bank and Revenue Management:
Conduct bank reconciliations, manage statutory returns, and ensure compliance with all revenue requirements
Annual Audits:
Coordinate and manage the annual financial audit process
General Administration:
Support the office with various duties to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Requirements Educational Background:
A bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred. Candidates with significant experience (10+ years) in private sector accounting will also be considered.
Industry Expertise:
Proven experience in financial management within the construction or engineering sectors is essential
Technical
Skills:
Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel, and familiarity with Core time software is advantageous
Regulatory Knowledge:
Strong understanding of Irish accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance
Leadership Ability:
Demonstrated experience in leading and developing a finance team, with hands-on involvement in daily operations
Analytical Thinking:
Exceptional financial analysis and strategic reporting skills to support senior management with actionable insights.
