Mechanical Craftsperson/Steam Boiler Operative, Buildings and Estates Office
Permanent whole-time post.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the above post. Reporting in the first instance to the Mechanical Foreperson, the appointee will be a key member of the Engineering Services section. They will work on their own initiative, have a high level of diagnostic and problem-solving skills. They will be safety conscious, hands-on, competent, and innovative person. Under the direction of the Mechanical Foreperson, they will operate the steam boiler plant and process work requests on the mechanical and electromechanical systems in UCC.

Appointment will be made on the following Craftpersons weekly salary scale €797.12 - €922.10 (Scale B) / €845.29 – €889.11 (Scale A). Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy. Stand by Allowance: €47.04 (Scale B) / €45.59 (Scale A). Overtime may be required and is remunerated at appropriate rates.
