Vice President, Team Manager, Research – Marketing & Communications
About this role:
Lead a team of researchers at varying levels of seniority and based in multiple geographies within Gartner's Marketing and Communications practice and contribute to the delivery of must-have research for Chief Marketing Officers and their teams. The team of researchers works across numerous topics in digital marketing execution and produces deeply researched guidance, case studies and tools designed to help senior Marketing leaders succeed on their mission-critical priorities.
What you will do:
* Lead a team of researchers to create impactful content. As a Team Manager, you will scope and allocate researchers to high-priority projects as well as serve as the ultimate guarantor of content quality.
* Support associates' use of quantitative and qualitative research techniques to develop valuable insights across several research streams at any given time.
* Motivate and coach the team's research skill through ongoing constructive feedback.
* Manage performance and drive a high-performance culture.
* Understand key trends impacting senior leaders within Marketing functions, and ensure researchers continuously deepen their own understanding, to help identify and close content gaps.
* Work collaboratively with research and content leadership as well as other practice-aligned teams of researchers to direct resources and ensure on-time and high-quality deliverables.
* Foster an environment of diversity, equity, inclusion and engagement on our team and drive Gartner's commitment to DE&I throughout all aspects of the business: hiring practices, associate development, client service and community support

What you will need:
* Leadership experience within Gartner as a manager or content leader (ie study or KI Leader)
* 7+ years conducting primary and secondary research utilizing qualitative and quantitative data, with preference for strong familiarity with Gartner's peer and practitioner research processes
* 7+ years analyzing and converting quantitative and qualitative data information into graphical representations and narratives, as well as communicating complex information to senior leaders.
* Experience attracting, coaching, growing, and managing a team
* Exceptional communication and project management skills
* Marketing subject matter expertise is a plus
* Bachelor's degree; Masters/PhD preferred -- and/or 10+ years relevant experience.
