JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for a Digital Support Specialist to join our growing Digital Team on a permanent contract. The successful candidate will be working within an agile environment, while troubleshooting, testing, development & bug-fixing, and providing overall support for our various web sites and applications.
Assisting with issues ranging from Account issues, Pricing issues, Product (data or availability) issues, Order issues. Updating marketing, branding and promotional materials on our website(s) and internal systems. Also be involved in testing Functional changes and improvements on the website(s), like improving usability and reliability for our staff and customers.
OVERVIEW OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage feature requests and helpdesk issues reported regarding our digital platforms – investigate and identify the cause. Determine the correct path to resolve issues and take the necessary actions and communicate with the affected parties.
Documentation of procedures and processes to ensure testing and troubleshooting steps are clear and adhered to.
Assist colleagues using various testing methods to verify and validate changes and new features before they are moved to the production environment.
Be actively involved during our daily meetings, highlighting the current issues and your progress, requesting help or assistance from colleagues when necessary.
REQUIREMENTS:
Strong communication skills with a high level of written and spoken English so you can express yourself while with both technical and non-technical staff members.
Strong knowledge of web coding languages such as HTML, CSS, PHP and their related frameworks. Experience with Javascript and MVC Frameworks is favorable.
Experience with SQL and RDBMS’s (such as MySQL or MSSQL).
Experience using helpdesk and task management systems.
Be comfortable investigating issues independently, and using tools and systems required by the business (necessary training will be provided).
Highly motivated, with a proven ability to work on your own. Think critically and use your own initiative within a challenging and dynamic work environment.
