The Team
The People and Capability Office has overall responsibility for crafting and implementing a vision for organisational transformation, driving initiatives that support EirGrid strategic goals in people management, internal communications, and process enhancement.
The People and Capability Office plays a pivotal role in shaping the next phase of EirGrid's evolution, facilitating cultural change, and building and enabling a high-performance environment. From talent development to employee engagement, the People and Capability Office leads the charge in creating a motivated workforce and delivering best-practice HR policies and solutions.
Job Purpose
The Digital HR and Analytics Specialist reports to the People Operations Manager and has responsibility for HR systems and people analytics services within the People & Capability Office. The role holder will be responsible for defining and implementing a digital HR strategy and people analytics services as well as delivering continuous improvement in the area. The role holder will work collaboratively with teams within and external to the People & Capability Office to deliver objectives. It is expected that the Digital HR and Analytics specialist will define a road map of initiatives, programmes or change to progress EirGrid’s use of HR technology and analytics in day-to-day ways of working and to inform the People Strategy, programmes and processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive the use of technology and digital tools across the People & Capability Office to ensure an effective and efficient service and a positive user experience.
* Work with the People Operations Manager to define the strategic approach to digital HR, to drive efficiency and effectiveness in HR processes.
* Conduct a digital maturity assessment as required to define improvement goals and roadmap.
* Lead the selection and implementation of HR technologies to facilitate HR functions.
* Act as a champion of continuous improvement environment and implement continuous improvement processes related to digital HR and analytics.
* Build collaborative working relationships with the Technology & Transformation functions to ensure alignment with overall EirGrid Technology standards, processes and plans.
* Define the approach people analytics to derive insights to inform HR strategies and decisions.
* Utilise data analytics to derive insights from HR data, enabling evidence-based decision making.
* Analysis of workforce trends, aligning with operational and business metrics and identifying areas for improvement.
* Establish, implement and monitor people data management processes and ways of working.
* Ensure that digital HR systems comply with legal and regulatory requirements and robust security measures are in place for HR data.
* Collaborate with other functions such as IT and Finance to ensure HR systems are integrated with other business systems and that data is shared effectively across the organisation.
* Responsible for HR System improvements and related processes such as user testing, requirement gathering, interactions with third party providers, measurement & reporting.
* Stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in digital HR and analytics.
* Work with third party providers as required in the provision of digital tools and technology.
* Manage relationships with any relevant third-party providers and professional services.
* Coach and advise colleagues in relation to HR technology and people metrics.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Experienced professional with 5 years’ experience in a role with a focus on HR technology and/or people analytics.
* Third level qualification in Human Resources Management, Information Technology, Data Science or a related field.
* CIPD accreditation is an advantage.
* Knowledge of HR processes and best practices.
* Experience with process efficiency, continuous improvement and quality management practices.
* Strong project management and organisational skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances, demonstrate resilience and be comfortable with uncertainty and ambiguity.
