The Role:
As a Technical Engineering Manager, you will lead a talented team of engineers while remaining highly hands-on (70-80% coding). You will own technical solutions from problem definition through to delivery, ensuring the development of robust and scalable security products.
Responsibilities:
* Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of Java developers while actively contributing to coding and architecture decisions.
* End-to-End Project Ownership: Drive the full lifecycle of software development, from design and development to deployment and monitoring.
* Cloud-Native Development: Build and optimize backend systems for performance, scalability, and security within AWS, GCP, and Azure environments.
* Security & eBPF Development: Develop eBPF-based sensors to enhance Kubernetes cluster visibility and proactive threat detection.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver innovative solutions based on customer feedback.
* System Optimization: Ensure the continuous improvement of data-intensive systems, event-driven architectures, and microservices.
About You:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong Java development expertise; experience with Golang, C, or Python is a plus.
• Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices architectures.
• Experience working with high-performance, data-intensive systems (databases, event-driven architectures, messaging systems).
• Knowledge of security best practices and an interest in cloud security.
