Currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to work on Planned Preventative Maintenance on existing manufacturing facilities and Capital works projects (New Builds & Extensions).
The successful candidate will work closely with the Engineering Manager and the role will be varied and wide ranging with involvement in new and upcoming expansion projects as well as the day to day maintenance and manufacturing process.
Working with the Engineering Manager on new plant installation and expansion/capital works projects Drawing of existing plant and facility layouts Working with the Production team in development of any new products and subsequent changes to factory layouts Management of Mechanical Contractors on any new projects Continuous improvement and monitoring of the Planned Preventative Maintenance plan Be familiar with the daily production plan and work as part of the team.
Report all faults, damages or electrical or mechanical defaults to the Engineering Manager, ensuring all machinery is only used when it is safe to use.
Record checks as and when directed.
Adhere to company safety policies at all times.
Work with equipment suppliers on new equipment and installations and modifications Procurement of relevant materials and parts necessary for efficient running of all plant.
This role requires someone who is willing to be involved in many aspects of a busy manufacturing group.
You will learn from an experienced Mechanical Engineering Manager and there is room to grow as the group expands its operations.
There are several sites and facilities under this remit but travel will not be extensive and only occasional.
