A prominent firm is looking for a dedicated and highly organised Legal Secretary to support their Litigation and Bankruptcy department.
This role requires a strong understanding of both litigation and bankruptcy processes.
The successful candidate will provide crucial administrative support while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment alongside a team of solicitors.
Key Responsibilities Offer comprehensive administrative support, including preparing legal documents, managing calendars, and coordinating correspondence.
Assist with litigation case management, including filing legal documents, tracking deadlines, and maintaining case files.
Manage bankruptcy-related filings, documentation, and legal procedures.
Draft, format, and review litigation and bankruptcy documents, such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
Coordinate meetings, hearings, and court appearances for solicitors.
Maintain both electronic and paper-based case files in accordance with firm protocols.
Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing solicitors, and internal team members.
Handle scheduling, travel arrangements, and other administrative tasks for senior solicitors.
Contribute to special projects and team initiatives as required.
Key Skills & Qualifications Solid experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within litigation and bankruptcy.
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to handle competing priorities and deadlines effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal document management systems.
Familiarity with e-filing systems and litigation procedures.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a law firm or corporate legal department.
Familiarity with legal billing and document management tools.
