Location: Lucena Clinic, Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services
Initial Base: Bray, Co. Wicklow
Lucena Clinic provides a comprehensive Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service for young people with moderate to severe mental health disorders to defined catchment areas, with an under 18 population of 172,585, residing in South Dublin City and County plus North and West County Wicklow. Clinical Teams are based throughout the catchment area operating clinics in Tallaght, Rathgar, Dun Laoghaire, Bray, Wicklow town and Arklow.
SJOG Community Mental Health, Lucena CAMHS, Wicklow Town
Lucena CAMHS provides a comprehensive Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service to defined catchment areas residing in South Dublin City and County plus North and West County Wicklow. An opportunity has arisen for a senior psychologist to join an established, experienced consultant led multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will also be part of a highly skilled and active psychology department.
Role Summary & Minimum Requirements
The successful candidate will be flexible, committed and possess:
1. A recognised post graduate qualification in Psychology and meet the PSI guidelines for employment as a psychologist in the Irish Health Service.
2. Evidence of eligibility for senior grade position (those approaching eligibility in the next 4 months will be considered).
3. Experience of working in CAMHS.
4. Proven skill in standardised neurocognitive and psychological assessment with children and adolescents with mental health disorders.
5. Proven skill in delivering evidence-based psychological therapies to children and adolescents with moderate-severe mental health disorders.
6. Knowledge and expertise in assessment and support of co-occurring neurodivergence.
7. Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills.
8. An ability to manage workload, perform under pressure and achieve deadlines.
9. An ability to undertake and complete projects in relation to innovation and improvement in service delivery.
10. Experience of working with young people presenting with emotion dysregulation and DBT training desirable (but not essential).
11. A high capacity for responsibility, together with excellent organisational, interpersonal, time management and communication skills with an ability to supervise and prioritise the workload of supervisees.

Salary Grade 367Y PSYCHOLOGIST, SENIOR CLINICAL on the Consolidated HSE Pay Scale
Initial location
The initial location of this role is in Wicklow town. However, you may be required, from time to time, to work at SJOG CAMHS other places of business or/and the premises of such associated companies or organisations as SJOG CAMHS may require. You will be given as much notice of any such change of place of work as is reasonably practicable.
