The purpose of this role is to support our clients with all aspects of their day-to-day living. You will provide care in the client's home, and it is essential that all services are delivered in a safe, compassionate, and caring manner.
Your duties:
1. Providing personal care, toileting, meal preparation, moving and transferring, Alzheimer's, Dementia, and high dependency care, supervising medication, light housework/basic shopping needs.
2. Following client's Care Plan, which is a guide that provides information on the individual character of services.
3. Supporting social interactions and activities, providing companionship.
4. Encouraging independence.
5. Observing, listening, and engaging with clients and maintaining positive relationships with the client and their family.
6. Being punctual and managing time effectively.
7. Observing confidentiality policy.
8. Communicating with the office any changes or concerns in relation to client needs/care.
9. Reporting and recording any incidents.
10. Adhering to Health and Safety regulations.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
1. Have QQI level 5 in Healthcare with relevant modules (or equivalent) completed or in progress.
2. Have a clean Garda Vetting Cert and International Police Clearance Cert (if applicable).
3. Be able to provide medical fitness for work cert/letter from your GP.
4. Have a driver's license and own transport and knowledge of using Google Maps to find client's home.
5. Experience working in a healthcare environment.
6. Can work independently and as part of a team.
7. Are reliable, dedicated, diligent, and trustworthy. Understand GDPR and its importance when working with the elderly.
8. Are fluent in English, both verbally and written.
9. Must be eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland.
