The Research Development - Finance Office (RDO Finance) wishes to appoint a Research Finance Support Officer / Administrator in the area of Financial Research Administration. The person will join the existing team in the financial administration of research-related activities and will report to the Head of RDO Finance. Pre-award support and production of timely, accurate, and efficient financial information in relation to the University’s funded research projects is the core function of the Office.
The successful applicant will support the day-to-day functioning of the RDO Finance team and will be involved in providing a range of financial and administrative services and general support to the research community within the University. The job will involve:
1. Preparation, financial control, and management of budgets and financial reports for external funding agencies.
2. Assisting Principal Investigators (PIs) to manage the financial aspects of their research.
3. Liaising with Senior Officers of the University.
4. Audit preparation and planning.
Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.
