This role involves creating and executing pricing and content strategies for car and insurance services in collaboration with the Head of P&L. You will use advanced analytical skills to drive P&L performance while responsible for pricing, optimizing platform content, and analysing performance.
Reporting to: Head of Pricing and Supply Optimisation
Responsibilities:
* Advanced Pricing Strategy Development: develop and implement sophisticated pricing strategies and inform model builds and iterations to optimize revenue and profitability.
* Technical Analysis and Optimization: Refine pricing algorithms and models, leveraging statistical and machine learning tools. Perform quantitative analysis to enhance pricing strategies.
* Data-Driven Insights and Reporting: Conduct in-depth analysis of pricing performance using large data sets and advanced analytics tools. Build automated reporting dashboards, provide regular insights, and suggest data-driven actions to align with business goals.
* Market and Competitive Analysis: Using advanced data analytics to monitor market trends and competitor pricing, and bring forward recommendations and insights to determine pricing strategies and improve P&L performance.
* Technical Collaboration: Collaborate with Data Science and Engineering teams to develop and implement pricing algorithms and enhancements. Ensure seamless integration of pricing models into revenue management systems and platforms.
* Yield Management and Forecasting: Develop yield management strategies to balance supply and demand, optimizing pricing across various channels and segments.
* Content Management: Collaborate with the Supply team to ensure that pricing strategies align with supplier agreements and content quality standards. Optimize content and pricing structures to improve P&L Performance.
* Support B2B Partner relationships, identify technical innovation opportunities, and lead A/B testing to refine strategies and make data-driven recommendations to P&L owners.
Qualifications:
* Degree or masters in fields such as Data Analytics, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in a pricing or data analytics role, preferably within the travel or eCommerce industry.
Technical Skills:
* Deep expertise in pricing algorithms, yield management, and data analytics to develop and implement sophisticated pricing strategies.
* Advanced data analysis and proficiency in statistical tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
* Advanced experience in data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Superset, etc.) and a history of reporting and analysing financial metrics.
* Experience with machine learning algorithms and advanced statistical methods for pricing and yield management (e.g. Regression, clustering, segmentation techniques).
* Knowledge of econometric models and their application in pricing strategy.
Analytical Skills:
* Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to work with complex data sets and extract actionable insights.
* Experience in demand forecasting, price elasticity analysis, and revenue optimization.
* Excellent understanding of financial metrics and the key drivers of P&L Performance.
Interpersonal Skills:
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly to stakeholders.
* A team player with strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including technical and non-technical colleagues.
* High level of curiosity, self-initiative, and ownership in driving technical innovation and process improvements.
