Maintenance Technicians x 2 in Food Production West Dublin 24
Cpl are delighted to be partnered with a long-standing and well-established Food Production Facility in Grangecastle West Dublin.
Due to continued business growth, there is a requirement to hire 2 experienced Maintenance Technicians for their production facility.
For both of these roles, the candidate will require an Electrical, Electronic, or Automation qualification.
The 2 Maintenance roles are full-time positions working on a 24/7 shift pattern, and you will be working as part of a team of high-performing maintenance professionals.
Maintenance Technicians Job Description:
The job requires the Maintenance Technicians to set up, install, maintain, and support Electrical Food and Beverage production, packaging, and manufacturing equipment to ensure optimum performance and support the achievement of operational goals.
Responsibilities:
* Provide day-to-day engineering services in a busy high-speed manufacturing environment.
* Responsible for the Zone/Line performance and overall maintenance and repair of the equipment and machinery.
* Multitask and solve problems that arise on-site quickly and efficiently.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance documentation.
* Deliver a high-quality maintenance service to production.
* Ensure maintenance works efficiently, effectively, and safely, in line with the maintenance strategy, and be responsible for carrying out planned work.
* Ensure tool uptime is above 90%.
* Plan work activities to improve Line Zone performance in conjunction with the Supervisor/Lead technician.
* Ideally, be highly competent at using PLC for fault finding.
Qualifications:
* At least 3 years’ trade experience as an Electrical Maintenance professional.
* Experience in Food and/or Beverage processing or related industries, ideally within a Lean Six Sigma environment.
* Ability to troubleshoot and repair damaged or poor performing equipment.
* Assist in compiling and presenting technical feedback on engineering performance relating to yield output, downtime, and engineering improvements.
* Knowledge of Food Grade production regulations is an advantage.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
* Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
* Proven track record of multitasking.
* Team player and a good problem solver.
* PLC/Controller experience (programming an advantage).
* National Craft Senior Trades or similar - Electrical, Mechanical, or Automation Qualification is essential.
* Flexibility to undertake other work assigned outside the area of normal duties.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Trade qualified in Electrical, Mechanical, or Automation with time served.
* 3-5 years’ experience in medium-high speed packaging or a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Overtime will be required from time to time to assist with production or preventative/reactive maintenance.
