My client, a top Civil & Marine Engineering contractor in Cork are now searching for a Project Quality Manager for a large-scale project.
This is a full-time permanent position.
Role: Lead and manage a team of quality inspectors, engineers and coordinators.
Oversee daily inspections and testing of construction materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with specifications.
Provide guidance and mentoring to construction teams on quality standards, inspection procedures and best practices.
Coordinate with construction management, design teams and subcontractors to resolve quality issues and ensure project goals are achieved.
Maintain thorough records of inspections, tests, certifications, and non-conformance reports(NCRs).
To review, audit and monitor the implementation of the project quality plan and procedures.
Provide a progress report to the client and project management.
Ensure the development, implementation, and audit of complex inspection and test plans, standards and acceptance criteria, and work instructions.
Ensuring audits are undertaken in accordance with the audit schedule.
Investigate and lead investigations into non-conformances and corrective actions.
Provide guidance and assistance on Quality matters to all staff on site.
Work with clients to ensure that Quality standards & procedures are successfully submitted, approved & implemented.
Undertake regular walk-through Inspections of the site works to identify and report any quality compliance concerns.
To coordinate the resolution of all matters pertaining to Quality.
Implement a structured approach towards systems handover / project completion.
Effective communication with clients and the project team.
Requirements: Must have a third level qualification Must have a minimum of 5 years of direct experience in construction related quality management systems Experience on construction projects Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and standards.
Excellent organizational, problem solving and analytical skills Must have demonstrated knowledge of ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems - requirements) international standard or equivalent and shall be able to exercise judgment against the criteria of the standard.
Must have experience in inspection, testing and quality control for major civil engineering work.
