**Environmental Research Equipment Specialist
We are excited to collaborate with a premier provider of top-tier equipment for environmental research.
This esteemed company installs, rents, and repairs environmental monitoring instrumentation equipment.
We seek a Field Service Engineer to join our team in Bangor, with occasional field-based travel required using a company vehicle. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, with a salary of £28,000 - £38,000 plus use of vehicle and expenses.
The Role: We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to assist our equipment servicing, rental, and installation divisions.
As an Equipment Engineer, you will be responsible for routine servicing and repair of customer equipment and preparation of our rental equipment.
This is a practical role involving mechanical and electronic hands-on tasks.
You will work on equipment including water sampling pumps, water quality sensors, level sensors, gas analysers, and data logging equipment.
Previous experience with similar equipment is beneficial but not necessary.
We provide full training supplemented by industry suppliers as required.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare outgoing rental equipment
* Test incoming rental equipment
* Servicing and repair of customer equipment including pumps, water quality sensors, and data logging equipment
* Prepare service and calibration reports on the Company system
* Maintain and update service records
* Schedule equipment servicing and rental orders
* Support the sales team and liaise with the admin team regarding service & rental orders
The Ideal Candidate:
* Fully qualified UK driver with willingness to travel
* Background in environmental monitoring (not essential) or similar experience
* Previous experience with electronic systems and/or sensors
* Previous experience with mechanical engineering or servicing
* Experience within the environmental or engineering sectors
* CRM experience
* Possession of a CSR or CSCS card
