CareerWise Recruitment is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our Cork-based client on a 12-month contract.
The Role
* Plan, lead and conduct Time and Motion Studies
* Continuously support improvement initiatives to optimise direct and indirect manufacturing labour and in plant material flow with industrial engineering methods including line balancing, time studies, as well as both in plant and external material flow
* Designs and implements optimal station layouts with associated stakeholders
* Drives towards sustainable solutions by developing a standard workflow for new and existing products while considering safety and efficiency
* Assist with plans for current and new product launches through capacity and labour requirements
* Supports site CI strategy deployment by completing Bottleneck Analysis, Value Stream Mapping and facilitating Kaizen events
* Performs other duties as assigned in terms of overall site Continuous Improvement
* Management of significant projects through PMO
Requirements
* Minimum level 8 degree in Engineering, Science or related degree subjects
* Minimum 4 years experience in an engineering, process improvement, lean or operations excellence-type role
* Excellent knowledge and understanding of the principles of lean as applied to manufacturing
* Green Belt Six Sigma preferable
