Join Our Team and Make a Difference Instructor - Focus Programme Permanent Contract, 36 hours per week Location NLN Cork locations: Carrigtwohill / Carrigaline County Cork Job Purpose The Rehabilitation Training Instructor in the Focus Programme, helps learners develop essential personal, social, and vocational skills, empowering them to make independent choices and progress toward greater independence.
This role involves working closely with learners who have experienced mental health challenges, supporting them in a structured, person-centred training environment.
Your work will be guided by the New Directions policy, focusing on individual choice and personal development.
What we're looking for: Qualifications * A third-level qualification in Education, Training, Social Sciences, or a related field.
Care, social work and psychology background also beneficial.
* A QQI Level 6 Train the Trainer qualification or equivalent.
Experience * Mental health and recovery model experience * Experience working in educational, guidance, or developmental roles.
* Familiarity with QQI certification and accreditation processes.
Key Skills * Strong facilitation, communication, and presentation skills.
* Ability to motivate and guide learners while building networks with stakeholders and the local community.
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
* Self-motivated with a professional and confident approach.
* A full driving license and access to transport is essential as this role is fully on-site.
Your Responsibilities * Deliver Training Programmes - Teach QQI Level 3-5 modules, ensuring learners achieve certification and personal development.
* Support Learners - Assist learners in setting realistic goals, using tailored techniques to support their personal and mental health recovery journey.
* Facilitate Work Experience and Skills Development - Organise placements, teach professional behaviours, and provide constructive feedback.
* Maintain Records and Quality Standards - Keep accurate records, produce reports, and develop training content in collaboration with the team.
* Ensure Safety and Compliance - Uphold health and safety standards and communicate programme updates to the Manager.
Additional Requirements: Full Driving Licence and own means of transport Closing Date: 27th April 2025 Salary starting from point 1 €33263.94 equivalent to €17.77 per hour, is subject to negotiation depending on experience and qualification.
