About the role:
Murphy is recruiting three SHESQ Advisors for various projects in the Leinster area.
The SHESQ Advisor will work closely with the Project Team ensuring the safe execution of works and embedding the Company's 'Never Harm' culture on site.
Duties:
Assisting in maintenance of the Safety Management System, Environmental Management System and Quality Management Systems and to ensure continued compliance with OHSAS 45001, ISO14001 and ISO 9001.
Carrying out inductions. Producing monthly statistics. Champion Culture Development Programme (behaviour-based safety programme). Carry out and document site audits and inspections. Keeping up to date with changes in safety, health and environmental legislation and construction industry guidance. Ensuring personnel on site have the pre-requisite training records. Investigating, logging and monitoring of Incidents and Non-conformances. Completing all necessary report forms. Identifying significant safety impacts for work areas and helping set-up of appropriate controls. Ensure all safety and environmental records are kept and readily available. Prepare and present toolbox talks as and when required. Prepare and present at monthly safety meetings. Review subcontractor documentation.
Qualifications, experience & skills:
Relevant 3rd level qualification in health and safety. Minimum of 3 years relevant experience on civil engineering/construction sites. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with one or more teams. Good written and spoken communication abilities. Good IT skills with a high attention to detail. A flexible and proactive approach. Demonstrate leadership skills. Implementing and rolling out behaviour based programmes. Experience working on heavy civil engineering projects (deep excavations, lifting, confined space, etc.).
