1. Scope of the position
Maintain and repair building fabric and utilities equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
2. Key Responsibility
- Troubleshoot and repair facility equipment and infrastructure issues.
- Ensure planned and unplanned maintenance is executed as per CMMS system.
- Work with vendors for the scheduling of planned maintenance, spares and improvement projects.
- Lead and support projects whose implementation lies within the remit of the Facilities team.
- Liaise with Manufacturing when utilities equipment issues effect their ability to manufacture.
- Recommend changes to equipment maintenance task list and frequency leading to greater reliability.
- Monitor waste and site services making recommendations on reductions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
3. Key Performance Indicators
- Reduction in facility downtime due to maintenance issues.
- Compliance with regulatory standards for facility operations.
- Waste, water and electrical reduction.
4. Essential Criteria
- National Mechanical/Electrical craft certificate or a third level qualification in an engineering discipline.
- Minimum of three years maintenance experience preferably within a utilities or manufacturing environment.
- Track record in vendor and management.
- Demonstrate excellent communications skills with strong attention to detail.
- Compliance with regulatory standards for facility operations.
