We have an opportunity for a Financial Analyst to join our Trading Finance team. The Financial Analyst will work closely with one of the six categories within the Trading Team. The primary role of the Financial Analyst will be to support, challenge and govern their category to achieve financial and operating targets. This will include the provision of timely Management Information for use within the Category and the wider Musgrave Business. The Financial Analyst will also bring to life the wider Protect and Grow Finance Strategy within the Category. A critical part of the role involves supporting (including the provision of value adding insights and commercial awareness) a monthly Category Business Review Meeting. The main responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to: Ensuring that appropriate Governance systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained. Financial reporting and analysis of Sales, Income and Margin performance for the category. Investigate & understand variances and add value by providing insight & commentary to these reports. Preparation and Presenting of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for the category. Support of category trading initiatives / trials, and business initiatives Support of Income generating initiatives, which may include supplier meetings. Support on cross functional projects as required Ad-hoc analysis as required The successful candidate will possess the following: Be a qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years experience. A general business qualification would be an advantage. The ideal candidate will be highly numeric & analytical. A strong systems orientation including advanced Excel skills The ideal candidate should be a self-starter, with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment, demonstrate good attention to detail, good judgment showing logical decision making, with a proven ability to influence at a senior level in the organization. *** Please be advised this is anintial 12-Month Contract Musgrave is an equal opportunities employer.
