We seek a Site Manager (contract) to join our team accelerating the adoption of energy transition. This role will focus on hands-on site management from day one, including commissioning and post-installation support. The site manager will work closely with the project engineer/project manager to complete projects efficiently while adhering to specifications.
Key Responsibilities
* Project Management:
o Oversee daily operations on construction sites.
o Coordinate and manage subcontractors and suppliers.
o Evaluate work progress against project plans, specifications, and schedules.
o Provide regular updates to senior management.
* Health and Safety:
o Implement and enforce health and safety policies and procedures.
o Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
o Address any safety concerns promptly and effectively.
o Ensure workers receive necessary training and certifications.
* Quality Control:
o Verify all construction work meets quality standards.
o Conduct regular quality inspections and audits.
o Address quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions as needed.
* Resource Management:
o Manage site resources, including labour, materials, and equipment.
o Optimize resource use to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
o Maintain accurate records of resource usage and costs.
* Stakeholder Communication:
o Liaise with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders.
o Attend and lead regular site meetings.
o Communicate project progress and any issues clearly and timely.
* Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and safety records.
o Prepare and submit regular reports to senior management.
o Ensure all project documentation is up-to-date and stored securely.
* Budget and Cost Control:
o Monitor project expenditures and ensure they remain within budget.
o Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement them where possible.
o Assist in preparing project budgets and forecasts.
Requirements
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
* Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management, with renewable energy projects preferred.
* Certifications: Relevant certifications in construction management and health and safety.
Skills
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Thorough understanding of construction processes, materials, and safety standards.
* Proficient in project management software and tools.
* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
This position is based in Ireland and requires you to be based there to complete tasks.
