Supermac's Cork Road, Co. Waterford requires a Full-Time SuperSubs / Barista for their counter.
The ideal candidate should be available for full-time work, with five shifts scheduled Monday through Sunday. This is not a part-time or weekends-only position.
JOB PURPOSE:
The Bewley’s Café / Supersubs Supervisor is responsible for the development and profitability of the Bewley’s Café and Supersubs. They must ensure that the unit meets or exceeds the targets established. The Bewley’s Café / Supersubs Supervisor conducts business daily as if acting as an individual owner of his/her particular outlets. Support from the General Manager and Site Manager is given when needed to facilitate the alignment of goals with those of the overall company. Within that scope fall many key functions such as budgeting, staffing, training, community involvement, inventory control, and labour control.
THE JOB:
* Overall responsibility for the development and profitability of the Bewley’s Café / Supersubs.
* To take full ownership of running the Coffee Dock and Supersubs area including beverage production, sub-production, and service standard maintenance.
* Coaches and develops Bewley’s Café / Supersubs staff to maximize revenue and minimize costs.
* Respond to Store/Area/Operations/Managing Director requests from time to time.
* General marketing and promotion of the Bewley’s Café and Supersubs brand.
* Implementation of company policies and procedures and following guidelines.
* To adhere to all aspects of health and safety legislation, food safety legislation (HACCP), and company policy ensuring your safety and the safety of colleagues and customers.
* Assists in the recruitment of new staff members.
* To ensure that the preparation, presentation, and services of food are carried out promptly and to the agreed company standards ensuring its customer appeal at all times; to promote a friendly and helpful atmosphere.
* To ensure a high standard of personal hygiene, cleanliness, and neatness ensuring full Bewley’s uniform is worn at all times.
* To ensure tables and condiments are kept clean at all times and that condiments are well-stocked.
* To receive any training that is necessary to maintain and improve the standards of the establishment.
* To ensure the security of all food/beverage stocks within the area; including stock ordering, stock rotation, management, and inventory counts.
LEADERSHIP:
The Bewley’s Café / Supersubs Supervisor will supervise the Bewley’s Café/ Supersubs and efficiently coordinate their immediate business. They will communicate their goals and will have a motivating vision. They will demonstrate principled leadership and sound business sense. It is the responsibility of the Bewley’s Café Supervisor to regularly coach Bewley’s staff to drive for results and will be expected to be a role model in his/her display of professionalism.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Fast-paced, “non-stop” environment. Physically demanding at times due to certain requirements of the business with regards to the level of business, quality of staff, quantity of staff, preparedness for business demands, etc. Certain business volumes necessitate prolonged periods without sitting down.
