We are seeking a skilled and experienced Toolmaker to join our team. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work with complex machinery and tools.Main Areas of ResponsibilityTo manufacture, repair and service all tools – have the ability to dismantle, clean, repair and reassemble multi-impression tooling. Attending Mould breakdowns to identify the root cause and solve the problem including flashing conditions, gating, venting and cooling problems. Using machinery such as lathes, presses, milling machines and grinders.Work effectively with all team members to assist in the continuous improvement.Carry out Preventative Maintenance on tooling as per PM Schedule. Any other duties as assigned by the maintenance and Tool Room Lead.Maintain Moulds as defined in the General Maintenance Procedure. Record all maintenance activity in appropriate files and compile reports. Support the spare parts inventory system through assigning of all parts used and scheduled stock takes. Ensure the safety of the working area. Implement tool room housekeeping practices. Performs other duties as assigned. Ensure compliance to the Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental and Energy Management systems. Following engineering drawings to measure and mark out the design for the tool.Knowledge, Skills & ExperienceAbility to work as part of a team and on one’s own initiative. Qualified Tool Maker, equivalent with 3-5+ years post-qualification experience in an Injection Moulding Environment. Experience required with hot runner system maintenance. Referenceable track record in problem-solving. Experience in factory environment an advantage. Self-motivated, high energy, positive attitude with initiative for timely completion of goods. Excellent practical skills. Ability to show accuracy and attention to detail in work. Ability to work to high specifications and quality requirements. Good hand-eye coordination with an interest and an aptitude for engineering and practical work.
