We are seeking an experienced and driven Associate Director (QS) to work within a busy team while supporting and growing our Quantity Surveying practice.
Job DescriptionThe Associate Director (QS) will play a pivotal role in the delivery of quantity surveying services to include Cost and Contract Management of a complex project or several projects simultaneously to the satisfaction of both the company and client.
This responsibility could begin at project inception or during a project lifecycle.
This role requires a candidate with a demonstrated history of success in cost and contract management, encompassing a diverse range of projects in both the public and private sectors.
Typical duties and responsibilities are listed as follows:
* Ensure project delivery aligns with contractual obligations and governance frameworks.
Oversee quality assurance and maintain the overall integrity of projects.
Manage costs and contracts for your assigned projects, while supervising team members in their project delivery.
Uphold quality assurance standards and the integrity of professional services across all projects.
Perform both pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying duties.
Report on financial performance and construction milestones to the Directors.
Preparation of fee proposals and bid submissions.
Provide effective line management for team members.
Provide mentorship and actively engage in the professional development of staff.
Assist in the development and execution of marketing initiatives for the business.
Participate in business development initiatives to drive growth.
The ideal candidate would have the following qualification and traits:
* Degree and or qualification in Quantity SurveyingThe successful candidate will have a minimum 9 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor working with an established Practice / Business.
Chartered statusExcellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organisational skills.
Strong MS office skills.
Solid technical appreciation regarding construction documentation / methodologies.
