The purpose of this role is to lead and manage Business Operations (Warehousing, Distribution and Production). To meet andexceed customers’ expectations, in the most cost and operationally effective way. To deliver the Operations business plan, through people. Americold Monaghan has two Warehouse sites in Castleblaney area including a BRC approved packing facility. The Head of Operations will work across both sites focused on delivering an excellent service to our customers whilst managing performance of the sites. People management will be key focus of role as our associates are key to deliver success. Job Responsibilities / Key Accountabilities: Drive a strong H&S culture and behavioral mindsetDevelop and actively use daily/weekly/monthly reporting mechanisms to drive performance.Develop and own the operations business plan.Advance planning to ensure people resources and capital investments are recommended /available to meet operational growth targets.Lead and motivate others. Have a strong, visible, and active leadership presence to achieveand excel in target delivery and performance.Set clear expectations, stretching departmental, team and individual targets. Hold peopleaccountable for targets, actions, and results.Control and improve operational performance, service delivery, financial management, teammanagement and development, legal compliance, cost, and quality.Partner with other leadership team members to ensure alignment, joint ownership andcollaboration with business plans, priorities, and initiatives.Identify and involve team members in continuous improvement initiatives.Develop solutions to deliver premium and cost-effective service.Management of budget and costsManagement of legal compliance and internal qualification requirements.Communicate regular business performance to Operations team and Site GM.Identify and execute optimum solutions to improve profitability through resourceoptimisation.Where appropriate, attend joint customer meetings with Commercial colleagues.Agree shared corrective actions for customer complaints with Commercial Manager.Implementation of Americold standard operating systemEnsure internal customer expectations are met · Evaluate and drive solutions for effective capacity planning, including understanding growth areas and its implications. Make and implement recommendations to cater for potential challenges.
