A leading pharmaceutical distribution company based in Dublin 15 is seeking a Buyer/Planner to join its supply chain team. This role is critical in ensuring product availability, optimising inventory levels, and driving operational efficiency.
This role is Monday- Friday, 8am-5pm on site in Blanchardstown.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage assigned product categories across the supply chain.
* Ensure continuous supply of products while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
* Identify and reduce excess inventory to improve turnover and minimise waste.
* Maximise warehouse space utilisation through efficient planning.
* Work to strict timeframes and deadlines to meet business needs.
* Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and vendors.
* Support and contribute to cost reduction initiatives.
* Ensure procurement processes deliver both quality and cost-efficiency.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a buying/planning or supply chain role, ideally within pharmaceuticals or a regulated industry.
* Strong analytical and organisational skills.
* Proficiency in inventory management and ERP systems, SAP is desirable.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
* Understanding of logistics and warehouse operations.
