Job DescriptionIn this role, you will be developing or revising code to maintain and update enterprise authoring/publishing tools and helping to configure the CMS infrastructure necessary to support a global SPS Information Development (Infodev) team.
You will support a global team as they author and deliver business-critical product documentation on aggressive release schedules.
You will develop solutions for DITA, XML, and other technologies as needed.
You will research and evaluate new tools and processes, provide requirements for implementing tools, coordinate with IT and Engineering Computing, influence Intel Product Information XML (IPIX) stakeholders, and help shape Intel Developer Zone (IDZ) long-term strategy and roadmaps related to product documentation.
Additionally, you will train authors and other stakeholders on tools and technologies as needed.
QualificationsThis position requires excellent communication skills and strong technical abilities.
You should have a minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field or demonstrated experience.
Additional qualifications include demonstrated experience with:
1+ years of relevant experienceCommon, general-purpose scripting languages, like Python or JavaSource control software, especially GitWorking independently on projectsExperience with the following is a plus:
Standard XML editors, like Oxygen or XMetaLSingle-source documentation markup languages such as DITA XML, reStructuredText, and MarkdownDocumentation generators and processors (Doxygen, Sphinx, Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA) Open Toolkit, etc.
)Enterprise Content Management Systems (Adobe Experience Manager, RWS Tridion Docs, etc.
)Creating or maintaining documentation targeted at a technical developer audienceOpen-source projects, including contributions and maintenanceFamiliarity or experience with structured documentation using a single-source modelSoftware development skills to support the DITA-OTFlexible working hours to accommodate US time zones are a plus.
