Nurse Manager Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse Manager to lead our team at a well-established private nursing home.
About the Role
* Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursing home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care in compliance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards and other regulatory bodies.
* Lead and mentor the care team, providing training, guidance, and support to ensure continuous professional development and high performance.
* Develop and review personalised care plans for residents, ensuring their needs are met and their independence is maximised.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment in line with health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
* Ensure that all admissions, assessments, and documentation are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
* Oversee the administration of medications, ensuring proper protocols are followed and compliance with regulatory standards.
* Handle concerns and complaints from residents and families, addressing issues promptly and professionally.
* Liaise with external healthcare professionals, including GPs, consultants, and social services, to ensure coordinated care for residents.
* Manage staffing levels, including recruitment, retention, and development of staff.
* Maintain financial oversight of the home's budget, ensuring resources are effectively managed.
Requirements
* A Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid NMC pin.
* Proven experience in managing a nursing home.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
* Expertise in person-centred care planning and safeguarding practices.
* Experience in managing the care of residents with diverse medical needs, including dementia, physical disabilities, and palliative care.
