We are seeking a passionate Materials Management Scientist/Senior Scientist to join our dynamic team in Limerick.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in overseeing the technical aspects of raw materials and consumables used in the production of biopharmaceutical products.
Your primary focus will be ensuring the reliable supply of materials while upholding our commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities: Provide technical oversight for the qualification, implementation, continuous improvement, investigation support, and technology transfer of materials.Act as a scientific liaison between the Materials/Procurement Process Team and Process Scientists.Develop and manage the site's extractables and leachables program to assess risks and facilitate manufacturing readiness.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Operations, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Procurement, and Regulatory departments, both locally and globally, as well as external suppliers.Assess material and supplier risks, audit suppliers, and manage the impact of supplier changes on manufacturing processes.Lead materials investigations and changes, ensuring compliance with technical documentation requirements.Support materials-related laboratory studies and contribute to Annual Product Reviews and Management System Reviews.Attributes for the Role: Demonstrated technical proficiency with a strong focus on productivity.Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to new challenges.Initiative-driven with a data-centric approach to problem-solving.Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Ability to thrive in diverse environments and teams, with flexibility and adaptability.Proficiency in English.Educational Requirements: Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in biotechnology, biochemistry, chemistry, or a related field.Experience: Over 5 years of experience in a GMP or GLP manufacturing environment, including working with external vendors.Work Environment: Occasional travel required for supplier visits and audits.
