Business Area
Operations Planning Department (OPPD) spans all SMBC EMEA (all entities and countries, all business units and supporting functions). The Procurement & Third-Party Management team within OPPD are responsible for Supplier Strategy, Contract Management, Service Monitoring, Invoice Management and Third-Party Risk Management.
Role Summary
Is the next step in your career at SMBC Group EMEA? We’re looking for an Associate for our Procurement Department to join our team.
Support the day-to-day procurement operations for SMBC businesses across the source-to-pay lifecycle to ensure timely delivery of quality goods/services in alignment with category and buying channel strategies and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee sub-category spend below £100k, ensure correct process is being followed, escalate any non-compliance purchasing to category buyers.
* Work with category buyers to meet with stakeholders and influence buying strategy.
* Produce spend reporting on tracking of savings and vendor spend analytics.
* Conduct sourcing tasks/administration, procurement scorecards, dashboards, reporting & analytics.
* Manage allocation of centralised contracts and support the business with administrative requests.
Knowledge and Skills
* Proficient in Data management/BI Software (MS Power BI, Tableau).
* Good knowledge and experience working with the Source to Pay system Coupa, or another P2P tool.
* Some experience in procurement, working with procurement policies and processes, reporting and tools.
* Proactive and organised with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise workload to deliver within set time frames to the highest quality.
* Strong analytical capabilities with ability to interpret large volumes of data; methodological and systematic.
* Problem-solving ability to translate data into recommendations & decision making.
* Must be highly self-motivated and customer-centric.
* Advanced MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Ability to build successful and productive relationships with colleagues.
